About Us
Gergely Gasztronomi Ltd, established in 1990, is a family business set in the area surrounding Vaskut. We produce fine quality products, reminiscent of traditional tastes, using old family recipes. Offering a variety of quick-frozen products including, dumplings, filled pockets, croquettes, puffed pastries, etc., it is our desire to preserve the traditional gastronomical values of the Upper Bacskai region. These budget-priced products, which are made from high quality ingredients, mainly originating from the region, are popular among all generations. Our products do not contain any additives or preservatives.
We are constantly expanding our range of products and from the beginning we have been committed to bringing innovative products to the market (Bácskai garden vitamin dumplings, Kindy dumplings filled with cottage cheese served with chocolate sauce). Currently, we offer 22 different products, which can be purchased in family sized and also in bulk packaging. These are sold by distributors and supermarket chains to restaurants and individual consumers. We strive to be flexible and work to meet the individual needs of our customers. Our quality service is achieved by our modern-day production, delivery, and storage methods, as well as a positive work environment and commitment to our professional calling.
It is our goal to preserve the traditional and international gastronomical values. For this reason we take part in a variety of gastronomical competitions and exhibitions. At the Carpathian Basin Dumpling Festival, we received the first prize three years in a row, and thus, in 2003 we earned the title of „Lifetime Dumpling Winner”. In 2005, we received the prize for best product at a regional festival for our plum filled dumplings and our Bácskai garden vitamin soup dumplings.
We are convinced that our products will be able to keep palce in the world market alongside those products which are mass-produced by larger companies.
